R.I.P Series - Kris Johnston

The R.I.P Series, by Kris Johnston
Gripping. Like from the first page. The story of Roz is told with skill, the characters have incredible depth, the premise is unique, and the emotions---like one long roller-coaster ride. The necromancy angle was new to me and I loved it.
There were moments when I was freaked out, that is how well developed each and every scene is. The interactions between Roz and her new family felt genuine and really tugged on my heart. I cried a few times and giggled lots.

That feeling of dread as you finish a book in an unfinished series that is followed by longing for more. Luckily, I only had to wait a couple of months--I almost missed the release which is yet another reason why I love my Facebook Groups--they keep me up to date.

What I loved most about this series was the emotion put into every line. The passion, the heartache, the love--it was perfect. I look forward to more of these characters and the Light vs Dark. This was the best way to spend my rainy weekend.

Kris Johnston is an author to watch. This story was strong, and incredibly well-done on every imaginable level. I'm fangirling now, but mostly just in awe. Looking forward to more from this YA author.
